Nice. I checked what you have put on your EX and I'm jealous. LOL. Great tires IMOH. Seems like your making all good choices.

I love them. I run them as my summer tire and they do excellent on pavement. Mine have stayed almost silent with regular rotating. Also good if you need to crave that lil offroad bug. :D

They are a very good on/off road tire. Good choice.

I'm on my second set now....awesome tires!

other peopel will bsh them, but the only gripe i have towards them is they are soft, which is a good thing and a bad thing..... great all around offroad, but wear a lot faster than a street designed tire, though as they should, as is acceptable for the increased offroadability

How many miles can I expect from them (seeing that I rotate regularly).

So far they feel good and I like how rugged they are.

BTW - Old Mechanic - Don't be jealous!!! Everyone has cool trucks here:)

Good morning! My X is so common. I need to do something to it. Besides I've got the itch! Seems like yours is comming along just fine. It must be nice. Keep the mods and add ons going!

They must have made mine from a different compound then. I had 30k on mine and they had almost half tread, with no rotations at all, a bad alignment, and me abusing them. The only shortcoming I noticed was that they weren't as good against hydroplaning as some other AT's I've had. Nothing dangerous, or enough to stop me from having another set down the road, but it was the one area they didn't really shine in.

Old Mechanic -

Have you done anything at all to the truck?? I think the first mod, and a cheap one at that, should be the instake. Did you do that? Soem argue it does nothing but I noticed a defference right away!

No JD! But I did put my dice & boxing gloves on the mirror! LOL!
I will be doing some mods soon (I just got back to work) and I think the first will be the air box mod with a K&N filter and clean the MAF. I don't think that the full K&N would do much more than just make it look better. Complete tune up if needed will be next then exaust. My main goal is to get the gas mileage up a little. Then little by little spruce it up. I plan on keeping my EX for a long time so I'm in no rush but I will keep picking away with it. I mainly bought it for the 4X4 to go 3-4 times a day thru the snow and whatever to check on my sick sister.
I will definetly put manual hubs on before next winter. My hubs were fine until I went threw some snow and ice then they started to make some noises. I did push it tho just to try it . But I won't do that again now that I know the 1st gen trannies are junk.

I'm gonna go for some Lockouts as well

Old Mech:

Sounds like a plan. The high flow intake will help with the gas mileage a little bit and you will notice a little difference with the sound, too! At least I did.

Good luck with the hubs!

Just to give you another mileage number..

32x11.50's on 8" wide rims with a detroit rear lockers and I get about 40k miles out of a set. My rears wear much faster than the front so I rotate them about every 8-10k miles.

I was very supprised at how well they did at the Dunes in Glamis, CA. They also seem to do decently on dirt and ok on rocks. They aren't near as good as the Yokohama Geolander MT's I had, but the Geolanders only lasted 20k miles but would stick to anything and grab rocks better than any tire I owned before (but the sidewalls weren't near as strong as the BFG AT Ko's)..
