:frustrate On Wed I noticed my left rear tire was low. I wouldn't have thought anything of it except that I had just aired it up to 35 psi Monday morning. I stoped by a tire shop that I had noticed a mile or so back so I turned around and had them check it out. Sure enough there was a hole in the tire but it could'nt be patched as it was right on the bottom of the side wall. The guy tells me that they dont stock the tires I have (Good Year wrangler HT) but he had a used Wrangler AT. I said that I would go to a Good Year dealer by where I live and get a new tire as the tires i had only had about 12,000 mile on them. I get to Good Year and they tell me that they have discontinued the HT tiresand could not get them anymore. :fire: While I was at the firs tire shop I noticed thy had BFG AT's. so I give them a call and the had a set of 30X9.50X15 in stock. Good buy suck a** Good Years :bounce: and hello sweet BFG's:D
Iknow some of you guys run goodYear MTR's its just that I have never had a set of Good Years i like and I also think there prices are way out of line.
BTW I went with the 30X9.50X15 because my wife has a hard time getting in and out of my Mountaineer as is with a TT and shackle lift it would realy been hrad for her.

I love BFGs myself. I put a pair of 14" trail TAs on a Ranger, drove them almost 65K with a little lower gas milage over stock but much better ride and traction. I replaced them with the same kind at 115K. Too bad they were discontinued. Anyway, bought my Explorer at 92K and drove the wimpy ass michelin car tires to 100K then put on the BF goodrich long trails that Wally World sells because these are basically the trail TAs under another name. Better ride and tranction and they look great on my stock rims. I was really sold on the BFGs when I drifted to the side of the road and picked up an aluminum bar with my ranger that hit the steel belts at a tangent and once pulled from the tire it was fine and I drove on it for another 40K... rc
