Any comments on these good or bad? Time to replace the Goodyear's and was considering Uniroyal Larados but after seeing them on some trucks...I don't like the look for my 2001 xlt 4-door with the "sport" package P255/70/16. I like how the long trails look, price is right and tread wear number is big. How are they in the snow and cupping resistance? TIA

you'll love them! I run them on the ranger i have 16''. Just keep them rotated every 75oo miles and proper air, youll be thrilled w/ the milage on them!! I very highly recomend them, as this is my second set i've bought for my vehicles.

I am not as much of a fan as the previous poster. I consider them to be more of a all season and not an all terrain. I have driven three different vehicles with them and they have all suffered once they were taken off paved roads. Also in the winter ttime the tires seem to performe alright in snow deeper then a couple inches. I am no completely sure of how long they will last, but if you are looking to buy BFG's and you are going to play off road I would saw go with the traditional all terrains

I have a set of LongTrails on a (cough)Jeep Cherokee. They have about 12K miles on them and still look brand new, so the wear must be good. They are an excellent road tire; quiet and smooth, and OK in rain and snow. Can't comment on off-road ability, but as the previous poster said, A/T's would probably be better because of the beefier tread design.

norad, they are deff not ment for off road driving! Of course you'd want a more aggressive tire, If that's what the first poster is wanting maybe we could throw some options to him for aggrasive treads. I was under the assumption that he was doing all daily driving on road..

I'd look at the michelin ltx a/t

Thanks for the opinions. The Long Trails don't look any less aggressive than the Goodyear RT/S's that are on there now. Just looking for a better tire (which won't be hard). I like the Michelin's....but not for the price. Looks do matter because with the "sport appearance package" adds P255's and the fender flairs, some just don't look right. I've always have liked the "look" of BF Goodrich tires..and am interested in the Long Trails because of there tire wear rating, which is high like the LTX.

Had the Long Trail's on a 93 xlt and they indeed wore like iron. But they also rode like iron. Not bad in snow, but terrible on wet, greasy roads after a year or 2. There are many "better" tires out there.
