i like bfgs... however, they arent as friendly as the pro comps in terms of siping and such....

the procomps can be had way cheaper than the bfgs too.... i say go procomps!

I'd go with the Pro Comps, I haven't heard anything but great things about them.

I got the procomps. They were a LOT cheaper, adn work fantastic!

I'd get the pro-comps, cheaper and just as good a tire.

I was on the fence too....bought the ProComps....EXTREMELY happy with them.

I'll let ya know in a couple of weeks - I got the Pro-Comps in 33's. They look better in real life than in the pictures - the tread is far more open. They also have great siping - something the BFG's don't have at all. At Moab, we ran one truck with BFG's, one with Truxus MT's and my own with Kuhmo Venture MT's - by consensus, the Kuhmo's stuck better than the other three... They were spinning and howling I just went - could barely turn over a tire. I'm hoping the Pro-Comps stick half as good...

One thing I do know about the new Pro-Comps - they balance out sweet. Some take no weight at all if the rim is good. Some of the old ones were pretty horid in that respect, but my kid does them all day and they are all good now.

i got a set of bfg muds today... they grip a lot better than the all terrain bfgs... and they are loud!

i like that, but many people may not, or the added vibration they give either...

Well, I have finally run the Pro Comps in some actual muddy terrain and they do pretty good.

I don't think that they are the absolute best tire out there, but they are definately adequate. Here in Kentucky we have a particularly nasty sort of clay that can fill the treads of virtually any tire. Goodyear MTR's are absolutely worthless in this stuff, as are Pro Comp X-Terrains. No AT type tire makes it past the trail head where we were over the weekend (private farm). The best are the Super Swamper Boggers - but they are totally impractical for road use. After that it is a toss up between the Swamper STX, the IROK, and the TRUXUS. Everything else finishes behind those three in this stuff, but the Pro Comps did hold their own, I was able to stay on the same trails and even do some things that the guys running the better tires couldn't do.

In retrospect, I think that I will switch back to the Kuhmo Venture MT's on my next set of tires. They are the single best ALL AROUND tire I have seen or run. My 31 x 11.50's have worn well - stick like glue in all but the most severe mud - and are like superglue on rock. I want to try a set in 35's. In that size, the tread will be wide open and they will even do great in the nasty mud.

I got the B F Goodrich KMs. I had heard that the Procomps would not last as long. I also could get them locally at Costco. I am satisfied with them.

I'm running 35x12.5 Pro Comp M/Ts and I've been happy with them. They hold thier own and have good traction, not to mention they're more than 30 bucks cheaper a tire than a comperable BFG MT. I've heard the tread wear is decent on them, I've probably put about 5k miles on mine already and beat them off road and they're holding up well.

Go with Pro - comps ... Everyone and their momma has BF
