Ok here is the deal. Just yesterday i went to unlock my door from the inside to get out. When i pulled on the handle, it was very hard to open. The lock didn't push up till i forced the handle a little more. Anyone have any idea what could be binding in there.

I did a search, and found the floppy outside door handle syndrome ( i have that also) so i am going to replace that handle. Anyway think it could be anything else?

THANKS

Just wanted to bring the BTT.

Had same problem, its the latch not the handle. inside the latch is a small spring that holds up the lever that connects the handle to the latch. When this spring breaks the lever drops and catches on the lever for the unlock which is why it won't unlock and why your handle is loose.

so your telling me I have to replace the LAtch? I had a feeling that is what it was, i was looking in my Haynes manual last night :-(. Did you replace that yourself? It doesn't look like fun. Any info you can give me will be great!

Also my outside handle is all messed up anyway so i am also replacing that.

Actually not that bad of a job took about an hour to do. Remove the track for the window and you'll have alot more room to work. If your outside handle is loose it might be the bracket on the latch. There is a plastic clip that locks the rod from the handle to the latch you might have to replace this clip. Look when you take it all apart. My dealer actually had the latch in stock, cost me $35
