94 Ford Explorer Limited
Hi, eXplorers. im new to explorer forum. i have a 1994 explorer limited. i was wondering what the biggest tires i can fit with a 4in lift are? ive been told only 31s (without rubbing control arms) ive also been told i can fit 33s (also without cutting). Also im looking for a aftermarket intake tube? i think thats the name of it, it already has the cold air intake. i just want to give it more engine dress up. where can i find such thinng?

$140 Intake tube:

or there's always the custom PVC route for cheap:

You can piece together an intake kit from Spectre parts. That particular part might work for the air filter, but you'd need a 90 degree elbow piece to connect it to the throttle body.

I would say you're better off getting the sections of real aluminum tubing off ebay, a 90 degree elbow, a straight long piece, and a 45 degree elbow, and the silicone connectors, rather than the cheap plastic stuff from Spectre. You may even find a straight piece that has a hose connector built into it for the oil filler tube breather hose.
