blinkers not working

So my blinkers and emergency lights won't engage they don't click or anything when I turn then on. I downloaded rhe manual and seen which fuse it was (16) and checked it and it wasnt blown does anyone else knkw what I can look at to figure it out. Im sire its simple somewhere be cause it just all of a sudden stoped working

Tilting column? If so, cycle it up and down several times leaving it all the way UP and test it. There is a known issue with the
multi function switch connector binding with these trucks. If that doesn't help you may have a faulty MFS or hazard switch.

If you don't have the tilt steering can the multifunction switch still go bad?

try flasher relay switch.
If i could locate mine I'd tell you but I don;t know where it is located to replace it

That sounds more like bad ground or broken wire if it flashes once or twice and then quits. Like stated above the wires in the column tend to get messed up. That was my issue and I resoldered them - no issues since. It could be worth a look just to make sure. It only takes a few minutes to take the column cover off and look. Doesn't sound like a fuse. If it was a fuse it just wouldn't work at all because a blown fuse will cause a completely open circuit 100%. Could still be the relay, but I've never tried to find that one so I couldn't tell you where it is.

Yeah I'd have to agree and say that it's somewhere in the steering column. I guess it's like that because they made the wires too short or something? Do they make some kind of extension that you can just plug in?

All you have to do is take the cover off the steering column and remove/cut the tape holding the wiring harness in place. That creates enough slack in the wires. The wires are actually long enough, but they're taped in place in such a way there's no slack where it needs to be. Of course that's only an issue with a tilt wheel.
