I have a 2001 Explorer XLT.

The blower motor does not work AT ALL UNLESS I hit a bump, then it kicks on.

I replaced the blower motor resistor thinking this was the fix. It was not.

The fuses and relay seem ok.

Once the blower motor turns on it can stay on for a day or a few days, however once it turns off, hitting a large bump turns it back on.

Any help appreciated!

Thanks

replace the blower motor.

Blower motor has the collector and brushes worn out to the max. It won't start if the rotor stops in a certain position, bumps move it slightly, enough to make contact again. When it moves, inertia will help it go past those points, so it keeps moving.

You need a new motor.
