are boggers the best of the best and does size really matter and how so, give opions on what you think and have seen or if you have boggers give your 2 cents

friend of mine had them on his 1979 F-150 if i remember they were 19.5/44-16.5LT yes 44" boggers that is bigger than the law allows in alabama, max is 42" ;) . They were great i drove the truck a couple times and never got stuck while other people were in the same mud hole getting stuck :D . Now it was partly the truck fi V-8, an atlas twin stick two speed, dana 60's front and rear, lockers, and that is just the start of it :thumbsup:
 






Boggers are great for what they are named for: Mud Bogs. They clear out fast and give great traction. They are horrible on the road though. :thumbsup:

Best DOT mud tire ever made. Ever. Only thing else that will come close is agri stuff. They dont last long on the street and are not for the faint of heart. ;)
 






yall think i could put 44's a bronco with a 8in suspension lift, or would i have to switch out the axles, or maybe 38's i have no clue yet to what tire i want, tsl or bogger, it will become a mud truck but i would also like to get on some rocky trails also, but not full blown crawling
 












ok i finally got a good idea plan down. if you drove 8,000 miles a year would you get 38x11.00-15 boggers they seem to be a good price($206) and will fit my new 15x8 after the sas of course
 






how much are you looking to spend a year on your tires, because boggers are for a trailer queen. even at that little of mileage you might be buying 1 set a year.
 






I would not put boggers on anything that i drive more than once a week. just because the go so quick and they are not good on the street
 






38x11? even if you wouldnt wear htem out that would be silly for such a tall tire to be so skinny, especially if you are talking about doing mud stuff
 






best older vehicle for a trail rig and tire size???
 






well even though i hate my chevy, i think the blazer runs a pretty good trail rig. i spent 200 bucks and bolted up a D44 front and 14 bolt in the rear with a locker. The parts are all interchangeable. I have diesel in it( ihate that piece of %^#@%). do an engine swap with a 350 and your set for a pretty good rig. Right now i have no engine in my truck and im waiting to install a 5.7 in it. the trans bolts right up to it. its a 700R4 btw. oh if you buy the engine, make sure it has a wire harness with it. Im running 35 inch tires right now on it. I plan to put 38's on it when i get the money but that wont be till late summer.
