I can get a great deal on bondo for about $15 a gallon. I am looking to remove that textured crap all on the pannels in the explorer. Do I need to use bondo or can I just sand the pannel smooth? I am having trouble getting the final sand smooth as desired. What grit should I be using for the final sand?

Thanks,

textured? Does your paint look like orange peel or something?

No the OEM pannels are textured and I want them to be smooth.

Are you talking interior panels?

I would think that the plastic interior panels would be to flexible for the bondo to stick to it long term. It might look decent at first, but it won't take long for it to start flaking off.
