brake fluid flush 97 xlt

The people at tires plus keep pushing to get a brake fluid flush. They put some strip in the brake fluid and it turns colors and they said it needs to be done. Is a brake fluid flush something I need?

brakes should be bled/flushed every so often, you can do it yourself at home or you can pay some mechanic large amounts of money to do it. here's a link.

It is an outstanding idea to flush brake fluids. A power bleeder/flusher will do a much better job of flushing than doing it at home. It will take forever at home too. If they have a good reputation for their work, I would let them do it. Just make sure they use the recommended fluid for your vehicle.
