I replaced the stock brake pads with Napa ceramic pads all the way around...they are great (no brake dust). At that time I had the typical "pulse-in-the-pedal” during higher speed braking, the mechanic said the pads would help plus the rotors looked good, so I didn’t replace/turn. I have gone about 10k miles and realize they need replaced/turned. Question can I still keep the newer brake pads and just replace the front rotors? Thanks.

No. You will have to replce the pads as well.

The pads have seated to the rotors. By just replcing the rotors your pads will not make full contact with the rotor.

That is kind of like honing the cylinders and using old rings--

The surface of the pad is probably conformed to the slope in the old rotor by now-and therefore will not provide a square force on the new rotor-which will distort the new rotor toward it's profile-in other words, it would start a bad chain reaction of uneven wear. JMO
