John,

are the 93 rotors available without ABS?

Thanks

The 93-94 style rotors will work on the 91-94 Explorers. They have a sensor ring in the inside of the hub. This ring can be easily removed so it can be installed on an early Explorer. We have done it here at our service facility in Richmond Ca.

This special price will definately go through the end of January, possibly longer.

the stator ring can be removed? Is it pressed in?
How do you remove it?

On the rotors I have seen it looked to be machined as part of the rotor.

Thanks for the quick reply. I have been looking for slotted rotors for my 93 TTB, 4x4, no ABS, for some time.

Your 93 Explorer has front ABS. These rotors bolt on with no modifications.

JOhn,
My 93 Explorer is not an Explorer.

My truck is a 88 BII, the entire front end is custom built beams using cores from a 93 Ranger.

I have no ABS on my front axle.

I must have rotors without the ABS stator ring built in.

If you tell me the ring is not machined as part of the spindle on your slotted rotors and can be removed then we are in business.

To date I have been unable to find any aftermarket slotted rotors for my application.

Thanks,

Jamie

What were the prices on these before the special?

Yes, the ABS rings are not part of the rotor. They can be removed. The 4WD rotors can be installed without removing the rings. I believe it is only the 2WD drives that need to have the rings removed. I am sure that rotors will work for you. Since it is the same part with a different application, we will proceed cautiously. If you need any more pics before you purchase, let me know. Let me clarify, we have installed these 4WD rotors on non-abs models without removing the ABS ring. Since the ABS ring is pressed on, you could remove it if you wanted to.

Thank you John!

Not that is customer service and I am not even a customer yet! hahaha

After the holidays I will want a set of these rotors. Thanks again.
The cheapo rotors from Autozone I believe have the stator ring machined in, but then I always made sure to open the box and get the non ABS roors before I took them home....

i definitely will be looking for these around christmas... perfect timing!

These rotors are priced per each, one rotor ( left or right).

how much would the total be for 2 fronts for my 98 AWD 5.0 shipped to 84041....

Also what pads could you recommend that don't eat the rotors like PF's

Slotted Rotors...........................$185.90 per pair
UPS Ground to 84041................$ 22.00
-------------------------------------------------------
Total Delivered to your door!......$207.90

We have good luck with the Bendix. They do not have the stopping power of the PF's, but they are not as aggressive either.
