I replaced my disc brake pads with premium semi-metalic units about 10 months ago. (all
four wheels) Now I have this squeal on three of the wheels at under 20 mph. If I tap the
brakes it goes away for about a 1/4 mile.
Any thoughts?

Yeah, I have developed some squeeling since my last brake job (new pads and rotors). Mine is coming from the rear.

You may want to check to see if the pads appear to be wearing evenly. If not, maybe the caliper is sticking on the slider pins. I keep meaning to check this on mine, but haven't gotten to it yet. I did regrease the pins, but didn't clean out the bored hole they fit in, just added more grease after cleaning the pins. I think this may have been a mistake.
