i've changed my pads, rotors, and bearings before, and i never bled my brakes... i just pushed the caliper back in, and pumped the brakes a few times... seemed to work pretty good...

i did not bleed after i put the brakes on at first i took it for a drive and had that problem so blead them when i got back
i bleed them like i bleed all brake i have a buddy pump them and then i i have him hold it and then i lossen the bleader screew and then i titen it and do it a gain i have doen that for years on all my other explorer and it works and that how my buddy does it a t his dealers ship he works at
You might want to change your brake fluid too. Brake fluid is only good for a certain amount of time. Once the fluid goes bad the brakes will get squishy.
