Did you start the bleeding process on the passenger side first?

no i started it on the drivers side.

You're supposed to bleed the brakes starting with the location furthest away from teh brake booster.

So I guess that makes th eorder: rear right, rear left, front right, front left.

Also, maybe try and have someone pressing the brake pedal, and while someone is still pressing it THEN close it off, maybe air is getting back in after someone takes their foot off the pedal? I'm not sure... worth a shot though.

Also, how do you know air is still in the line?

you can see the air bubbles through the clear tube that had brake fluid in the bottle. as i was closing the nut on the caliper.

Right Rear, Left Rear, Right Front, Left Front.

Pump 3-5x each wheel, then hold the brakers and close the line. When you're all done refill the brake fluid. Then take it for a short ride around the block.

If you still get air in the line after that you may want to check the line for cracks or other leaks.

i have a 93 explorer with drum brakes in the rear. so i would just start with the passenger side first right.

Regardless of being disk or drum they need to be bled farthest first or else you'll be bleeding brakes all day to no effect other than wasting brake fluid.

well, you do get the added effect of replacing the single most neglected fluid in a vehicle.. brake fluid!

yes, it does need to be flushed out occasionally.

it turns over but doesn't idle and trys to shut itself off.

I guess you can hijack your own thread.

Make sure your vacuum lines are hooked up and routed correctly.
