Breaking it in this week

Picked up '11 LTD on Saturday and putting 2000 miles on by the end of today. Will let you know of any problems. So far only minor MFT issues with phone.

Proper break in is not all highway miles and you should vary your speed. I think this is stated in the manual too.

Owner's Guide Does Recommend Modest Break-in

Just picked up my '11 Explorer Limited 4x4 last night! Break-in is covered in the introduction of the Owner's Guide -

"Try not to drive continuously at the same speed for the first 1,000 miles of new vehicle operation."

Also - "Drive your new vehicle at least 1,000 miles before towing a trailer..."

As stated, not a good idea to take a long highway trip in the first 1000km. Congrats on your new Ex. Your gonna love it.
