Brighter Instrument Panel Lights - 99 XLT

I love the lime-green-ish lights in the instrument panel, but it isn't really that bright. Is there a way I can make it brighter?

Also while on the subject, there are spots on the speedometer that are a little darker than the rest of the panel. Maybe there's some dirt or a wire behind the panel? (I know nothing about vehicles)

lol, I know a lot of people are going to suggest turning up the dimmer because I said I knew nothing about cars.

What I meant was, is there a way to override the default highest setting?

theyre probably already at the max... my guess is the lights behind the instrument panel are incandescent... if u did an LED conversion im sure u could get much more light out of it... or if u bought an eluminated cluster that would work as well

The brighter your dash lights the more it ruins your "night vision" and the harder it is to see that obstacle in the road that you may have to swerve around.
