Some of you are already aware of my current problem of my transmission not engaging into Drive with revving it up quite a bit. Now it will only engage in 1 and then I have to upshift while driving it. Did I break a band or what?

Also when I first revved it up tonight. High rpms it clunked it real hard but didn't go anywhere, I put it in reverse and it engaged and went forward instead of reverse.

A few things were previously suggested by several members in your other threads (bent Z link, leaking manual slide valve, worn oblong opening on the slide valve to the Z link, valve body issue, misaligned shift cable, clogged filter, low fluid level, leaking O rings on the filter, wrong filter, stripped splines on the shaft, broken one way sprag, etc). We should keep everything in one thread so that we don't go around in circles suggesting the same things in each thread.

Sorry about that, I guess I thought if I started a new thread I would maybe get a quicker response since the other one is old.
I have adjusted the cable a few times, and I'm sure the z link is ok. I checked the filter for a tight fit when I installed the shift kit and pressure boost valve. Whatever I did tonight definitely damaged something internally. I need a little direction in a rebuild kit. I have another post with a link for a complete rebuild kit. Can you advise me a little? I have read a lot of your threads about this transmission and am pretty confident I could rebuild my original one I have in my garage.

In the other thread, the boost valve only came with one outer part. The inner part was reused. It should come as a complete set. It's possible that the low pressure condition might be caused by this, and you don't need an entire rebuild. An air test plate will determine if the transmission needs to be rebuilt or if it's a valve body issue.

Yes I actually PATC replaced the missing piece and I put it in. What I did was rebuilt the VB in my original and swapped it with the one in the truck, new gaskets as well. I'm pretty sure something is stripped like you said or something. When I put it in OD like normal it pops in gear at very high RPMs, but doesn't move, it feels like it's slipping, like it wants to move. Only when I switch it to 1 does it move and then as I drive and pick up speed I manually upshift and then I have all the gears even OD. Shifts like normal as I'm driving, but if I come to a complete stop I have to put it back into 1 to get going again.
Not sure what an air test plate is and I actually haven't hooked up a pressure gauge to it yet.
This is the kit I was thinking of getting.
