Broken Seat Handle

Today at lunch when i got into my truck i went to pull up on the seat handle to raise my seat to comfty driving conditions and when i did it broke off. How would i go and fix this as i do plan on keeping the truck for a while and is it worth taking seats apart and respray painting the metal since for some reason my drivers seat is rusty. here is a picture i uploaded off my facebook of what happen any help is so needed thanks
