I got my hands on a 86 bronco 2. It has a v6 xlt model . I have a 94 explorer xlt. Would any parts swap over to the explorer? If so do you know which ones and would my ex benefit from swapping any of the parts.

ummm why would you want to swap over the 2.9l Engine when the 4.0 is already underpowered in the Heavier Explorer ?

Why would you want the Weaker D28 in place the D35 in the Explorer and there for the the 28 spline 8.8 rear axle ?

and besides the Bronco II is a narrower vehicle compared to the Explorer so you would a narrowing the Track width of the Explorer using the Bronco II Axles

so there is nothing to Be gained from Swapping the BII parts over to the Explorer

you would gain more if you swap the Explorer Parts over to the BII tho

The Explorer is an upgraded better version of the BII.....

Ok thanks guys. That was kinda my thinking I just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing something.

But if it has a manual transfer case you may want to keep that for a doubler build some day :)

If the BII has a suspension lift, it'll fit the Ex. But yeah, pretty much anything of importance is already better on the Ex.

Some things off the top of my head that are the same on both:
Steering box & pitman arm
Front axle brackets & stuff (radius arms would be a minor upgrade on the Ex, no shock stud to break off)
I think the windshield may be the same also
