Out of curiosity and no disrespect rocket, but what do you do for work/where?

PM sent. Though I think it might be in my profile.

Rocket - You crack me up too. I've told you many times that this is not my first performance project but you refuse to listen to me.

Jake I have seen people claim to run 9's in a Kenne Bell Cobra on 19" rims and street radials but do you think I believe them either? Of course not, because I can see through their BS.

I guess it's time for me to invest in a set of slicks...

How about you invest in some seat time at the track too? Have you ever even been to the track with your X? Just curious and all. ;)

James - Please explain what you changed in the "calibrator" level that will make a 4.0 pump more air thru it. Yes, you looked at my tune but remember I paid you. I think I paid you pretty dang good for everything you helped me with. After all, it's all about money, right?

Jake, the calibrator level of the Advantage software has one hell of allot more in it than you may think. Allot of things in your tuning that you probably just assumed fell into place probably did so because James did it in the background. You are like the child who thinks he is riding the bike on his own when in reality his dad is still holding him up by the seat.

There's reasons why I flipped out on you and Rocket.

I flipped out on rocket because he ripped me off on some parts that suck anyways. Never got closure on that even though I asked for some proof on the story he gave me.

Wow you really amaze me with that statement. So you claim I "ripped you off". First and foremost, I sold those parts to you at the exact price Vernon Hills (Regional Sales Manager @ STS) said was MAP. The only reason I had to contact him about the price was because those were a special order item not covered on the normal dealer pricing list. Now let me explain MAP to you. Minimum Advertised Price. Basically it is the minimum price a dealer is allowed to sell an item at because if they were to price it lower they could in theory undercut other dealers. I sold those parts to you at MAP. If I wanted to I could have charged you 5 times as much for those parts and been completely fine doing it. Obviously that would have been bad for business but you get my point... Well probably not... You aren't too intelligent of a fella. Maybe I can request that Rick enables some sort of Crayon writing function in here so I can break it down in a format you can comprehend. Would you like that pumpkin??? To go one step further, you blew up at me via PM rather than asking what the deal was with the price. You had heard the price was supposed to be different but were apparently mislead. Instead of trying to handle it constructively you decided to cry like a little child from the getgo. Up until that point Jake I was still willing to try to help you but when you crossed that line I considered that bridge burned. I even emailed you an itemized list of the EXACT price breakdown so that you could see how it all added up to equal what I charged you. Then I also said that if you had any further questions that you could contact Vernon @ STS and ask him the pricing on those items directly. Apparently you never did that, otherwise you would have seen that you were the one with the inaccurate information not I.

As for those items "sucking"? Well that is out of my hands. I didn't manufacture them. I do agree that the little one-way check valve seemed to be on the restrictive side from the looks of it. However the solenoid switch valve and hobbs pressure switch were very well built and functioned well in the other STS turbo vehicles I have built. Jake are you sure you installed them all correct??? Oh shoot I am sorry ....wait....wait....wait. Better get your dad on here so he can talk with me and find out if it was installed correctly being as it was probably him that installed it anyways. God knows he did most if not all of the fabrication. I am not basing that last statement upon assumption either, I am basing it upon your very own words during the build. I did all of the turbo math and planning for that for you; along with assisting you in doing the right thing when it came to getting the proper fueling components. James did allot of the tuning and gave you a crapton of tech advice also... Are you sure you did much of anything on "your project" besides bolt on pieces that everyone else around you had already designed, made, configured, or tested???

You are a punk Jake. As I said before you have to earn the respect, don't just think you can force people to give it. I have thousands of posts on this forum and many others both as member and vendor. If you take a look at my previous 500 posts in this forum alone I am willing to bet that at least 400 of them were helping others with their projects and providing advice with no thought of getting anything in return. The difference between You, James and I is this. You feel the need to have to beat your own drum as if you were important. James and myself don't need to do that because our knowledge and the respect that sometimes comes with that speaks for itself. How many times have you seen James or I pop into someone else's thread and try to purposely crash it while talking crap about how badass our trucks are compared to the person who originally posted the thread? We don't do that because that is just not proper. You have talked allot of crap and it has been getting deeper by the month in here lately. How about you truly try to help people on this site rather than making repeat attempts at building your "e-rep" through posturing like someone that knows what they are talking about. I mean come on, you didn't even know how pressure differential across the turbine affects spool time on a turbo but yet you are trying to attack James' turbo setup being mounted further in the rear of his vehicle? Jake you are a noob in so many ways it is not even funny.

Why Can't we be friends?

I think if you're willing to race someone that's from far far away, its only fair that the race be held at about halfway of the distance. I mean c'mon, lets be more considerate about this whole thing ;)

I would love to see them all meet in the middle and race.

I think the accusations and name calling are a bit much... I would like to see the race, but not this kind of exchange.

Agreed.

I'm all for some smack talk leading up to a race or showdown thats in GOOD FUN, but this is just immature school yard CRAP. I'm surprised this has been allowed to go on this far... especially when it's pretty blatant that this is all "verbal lashing".

This thread is now closed. If anything materializes from the "challenge" please pm me and I will re open it.

It isn't uncommon for the challenger to go to the challenged person's turf. In fact it is the norm in drag racing challenges.
