is it the cam chain or the cam chain tensioner ?
does the fix work ?
how much does it cost?
what will be th edamage if i dont fix it ?

I believe it is the timing chain tensioner you are referring to and from what I have read in the posts I don't think they have found a definite cure for it.

I have wondered if the timming chain set up was replaced with timing gears thus eliminating the need for the tensioner could resolve the problem. I guessing there are not any manufactures that are producing such gears for the SOHC.

I have seen these types of timing gears for performance engines and I would think an after market manufacture could produce them. Maybe it not possible on this engine I am not sure.
