I think this would be fun to do...don't really care to win, just would like to help out the kids, promote the sport and show the kids what they can do with a little imagination.
Now where can I find a 55 gal drum for my front tire to sit on:
Sorry - there really isn't any place to have them (no grass or dirt to do their business) and just in case no scratches on paint jobs. Not saying your little guy/gal will but there are people that don't pay attention to the pets and I am trying to head off any problems before they start.
I just wanted to stop by and give a big thank you to a certain someone(s) from this forum. I recieved a nice donation this morning for the auto shop program. I know that they appreciate it as much as I do. Once again to that certain someone(s) - THANK YOU!
Sorry I haven't been back on to update everyone on how the show went. It takes a little bit to get things straight after running an event like this not to mention the loads of pictures to upload and your computer wants to lag.
There was 147+ vehicles that showed at the event plus many many more spectators. We had a really nice vendor row this year with a bigger kids area along with a 54ft bouncer (thanks to my hubby lol). Sold alot of regular raffle tickets not so much on the 50/50 and the paint rafle was cancelled.
All and all the show was great just one mishap - a guy cuz he certainly wasnt a gentleman decided to be a baby about not winning another award (he already won for his minitruck that he brought in seperately) and do a lovely burnout in the parking lot in his 4 x 4. Lucky for us Kmart didnt hold that against us and since everything else went well and all they heard were good things - we can come back next year!
We did raise $1000.00 for the auto shop program. I am working on trying to get a tool company to match me dollar for dollar so I can get them more tools.
As soon as I can get all (300+ photos) loaded, I will post them up.
Forgot to tell you that you can check out the online coverage at www.truckrun.net and www.socalcustoms.com. Just look for the Hall Associates Street Show link under past shows if it is not on the front page still.
