Car wheels on SUV

Hi

I have a friend that have a Honda Accord and have some 18" wheels on it, he is going back to stock a his selling me his wheels.

But i;m a little confuse about this, i search on the internet about the bolt pattern and they look the same, but can does wheels hold the weight of my eX, cause i dont know if there are difference between car and SUV wheels.

somebody with knowledge in this subject that can give me some light, and point me some info about it to learn a little bit more.

I wouldn't think that a Honda Accord would have the same bolt pattern. They are 4 lug, I think.

Their isn't a real "car" and "SUV" wheel. But the bolt pattern, the more weight it's designed to carry. If the wheels are 5x4.5 then they will be fine.

You might want to look at the load rating on the tires... I would think the rims would be fine, but i think they are the wrong bolt pattern.

Is 07 accord, i check it on tire rack and they seen to be the same bolt pattern. So load wont be a problem for the wheels, right?\

They do show the same bolt patter, so you should be fine. I wouldn't use the car tires at all, but I assume you will need to put bigger tires on anyways.

Umm... totally wrong offset since the Accord is FWD...?

Oh yea, didn't even think about backspacing. You should look into that before you get them.

Also--don't forget the hub diameter. On cars vs SUV's it can be different. The wheels will need to sit on the hub securely.

Thanks to all, the wheels are 8.5 instead of 7.5, about offset i dont have the real info, what's the max or min offset for 18" wheels on eX, and the hub is the piece that you put on the center of the wheel to make it fit like a glove where you mount it??

Were the wheels under the fenders when mounted on the Accord...?

I am guessing the offset is 35 to 45 offset...

The car was on stock suspention.

This will likely be the deal breaker with all car wheels. I have a toyota wheel from I am assuming an Avalon. I put it on a front hub to check the bolt pattern and the center diameter of the hub would not fit into the wheel.

Have a machine shop drill the center hub hole larger...
