Car wont start need help

My car is really screwed up i just put on a new starter head at first the car wouldnt just crank the starter once or twice and i asked this guy and he said a new battery i need and now i put in the new batter and all its doing is a rapid clicking noise

Try punctuation. It will make it possible for someone to figure out what the heck you just said. :confused: Then maybe we can figure out what is wrong with your truck.

Make sure your battery cables are bolted down securely on teh battery and the starter.
 






i did and it still does a clicking noise
 






Are the lights nice and bright when you turn them on? If not, you might have a bad cable. The cables can look OK on the ends but be corroded in the middle and won't flow enough juice to turn the starter. Check for cracks and cuts in the cable jacket.

I forgot what year you have but you could also have a bad solenoid, it's the small round black thing bolted to the fender wall on pre '91-'94, I'm not sure about '95+. You can bypass it by shorting a large screwdriver accross the terminals with the ignition key on. That might get you started so you can get to an auto parts store where they can check everything for you.
