any one no what the catalytic converters are made of on the factory exhuast and how much can i get for one at the scrap yard or where ever u take them

i think you can get like 20 bucks for them at the junk yard, im not sure tho as i have never taken one in. but i have had people tell me they are worth money because of the metals inside of it

Yes-
They have platinum coated ceramic honeycomb discs.

The platinum is the "catalyst" which causes the burn of excess hydrocarbons in the exhaust.
 






as mentioned in your other thread
it is a federal offence to remove and drive the vehicle with out the converters

As also you mentioned you have nothing to gain by such a mod.
 






is there any cats out there that you could replace your stock one with to give alittle more flow. I know if you want loud then chop the resignators off but cats are no good leave them on your computer with not like that very much.

Not necessary; the factory cats flow fine.
