By now most of you know the back story... 6 5.0 10 psi at the rail (should be 30-45).
On a whim I called Autozone to get a new fuel pump again since the tank was down and it had a 1 year warranty on it.
In talking witht he guy onthe phone I mentioned I wanted the whole housing this time and nt just the pump and he said they only sell the whole housing and wondered how I got just the pump last time.
We figured ot that the other guy (from August in another store) had put in 4 wd instead of AWD and that they call for different fuel pumps.
He said the AWD pump creates between 100-120 psi and the 4wd pmp creates less psi (bt didn't give me numbers)
Could this FINALLY be ther cause of the problem?
I went and bought the partr ($40 difference) and am going to put it in... though I wont be able to strap everything abck together until I get a Fuel Tank Pressure Reguator which I can only find at the dealer for almost $80.
I wanted to see what you guys thought about this as maybe being my problem.
