Changing Rad Support Need Help

Does Anybody Have any tricks or in sight into replacing a Rad Support? Mine is pretty well gone from the cancer(rust) and needs to be changed before i drop the rad while driving!! Thanks

well, this is what i had to do in the junkyard to get mine. and it sucked...

I'd start off with removing the fenders, headlights, bumper, pretty much all the body from the doors up, so you're left with the dawg cage, and radiator support.

you can either use a drill bit meant for cutting through spot welds, or a normal bit. just make sure you have plenty of batteries, or a plug in drill. you have to drill in halfway to break the weld, and i used a crowbar/flathead screwdriver to completely break them. i didnt' take the radiator out, i just unscrewed it from the support, and propped it on the belts, lol.

putting it back in isn't to hard, but you definitely need a friend that knows how to weld.

Why you think you need to weld it back in? Drill the spot welds and put bolts in those old weld spots, K.I.S.S.----- Keep It Simple Sam ----
