How on earth do you get to the passenger side plugs on the 4.0 engine w/ AC?

Thanks in advance from the new guy in Florida. (Yeah, I know that doesn't mean much now, but wait till January!)

Its not difficult at all.

Jack up the truck, remove wheel, support on jack stands, then remove the inner fender "flap" and take a peak inside.

Be sure to use anti-seize on the new plugs.

Good luck ....

i just did mine, my passenger ones came out extremely easy. for the rear one by the heater box, i just used a swivel, and an extension. wasnt hard at all. it would take alot longer jacking the truck up, and removing the inner fender.

my problem was the two that broke off on the drivers side!

What year is your truck? I second the through the fender liner method Aldive mentioned.

Thank you!

Yes, it appears that on my 2001 ranger edge 4.0 SOHC, the only possibility is from below!

i just reach in there and took em out. for the one near the firewall i used a mini extension and the socket and got it no problem but for the rest of them i just got creative and managed to get my arm and hand in between the hoses. i have to say the pasenger side was easier than i thought it would be looking at everything.

the driver side was a pita cause i have i guess the fuel rail right in my way, but i managed to get em all out, and in good timing too cause one of my spark plugs was cracked just never knew it cause it didnt cause the truck to run eratically

Everyone always mentions the fenderwell method but I've always taken them out with little problem the normal way.

They're not the easiest to get to but not really difficult, either. I don't even use a swivel. Just an extension.
