Chase's '94 Explorer XLT

Well, it's about time, but I'm finally doing an Explorer Registry page for my Ex.

My mom bought the Explorer new on June 16th, 1994, and drove it until April of 2001, when I started driving it. I've been driving it ever since.

As far as modifications, the Ex has a few. The list of external and performance modifications looks like:
  • 31x10.5-15 BF Goodrich All-Terrain TA K/O tires
  • Bilstein 5100 series shocks
  • KKM Tru-Rev Sport Induction Kit
  • Kennesaw Mountain Accesories front bumper
  • KC Daylighters
  • Removed runningboards
  • Homemade speed grill
The list of audio and electronics modifications looks like:
  • Aiwa CDC-X517M head unit
  • Boston Acoustics FS80 speakers
  • Eclipse 87081.4 8" sub in factory enclosure
  • Cobra 19 DX II CB with Wilson Little Wil antenna
But I guess I'll stop boring you with names and numbers and present the real reason you're here, the pictures :D

This was supposed to be a flex shot but the dirt crumbled under my tire. (Those are my friends Yancey, sticking his head out the window, and Posegate, popping up behind the hood):

And there you have it, that's my 1994 Ford Explorer XLT. I'll hopefully be updating with more mods and pics soon, but until then, hope you liked it and thanks for takin' a look.

EDIT: For even more pics, you can check out my photo gallery :)

Actually, chase lost that Aztek to a mean speedbump back in December, he picked up this old X on ebay for like a buck or something. :D

Are those 31s on stock rims?

Thanks for the compliments everyone!

To answer your questions:

Hmmm, the mod list. Well, I could go on and talk all about lifts and solid axles and other fun stuff. But realistically, I don't have much planned. I've got some Daystar bushings going on in a couple weeks. This summer I'm looking for tow hooks, rocksliders, and amps to power the stereo. I also need to pick up a good set of supplies just to have for offroading.

Yeah, those are 31's on stock rims.

And yes, it is an Explorer. No Aztecs here :D

you ever use that Southern Off Road place? i've heard they are pretty good guys.

I stopped by once and talked to them, they seemed pretty nice.

We drove right past it to get to the trail, so we decided to stop, but it was closed already.

How the Bilstein 5100's holding up for ya? good off-road manners? im just trying to find more opinions about them...

After quite an adventure installing them, I've found them to be quite good. Unfortunately they've been used almost entirely on-road, and provide a good, firm ride. However, from my experience, they don't disappoint off-road either.

So when can we see some more mods!!!!

I'm up in New York for school now, but the Ex is back at home. I don't get to bring the Ex up here until January, so we'll see what happens then.

hey nice truck. where did you get that bumper? i like ;)

Just be sure to have it welded on, I believe that some peopel have had issues with it detaching while undr loads. Just a though.

Well, just to let everyone know, on March 15th I had to sell the Explorer to CarMax down in Atlanta. That thread is Explorer No More.

On a better note, however, on May 24th I got a 2004 Honda Pilot LX. That thread is My New Truck.

I just wanted to end this thread correctly so no one out there was still wondering :)

I don't believe it! Southern Offroad!!! I lived right next to that place off of union hill! Yikes. We used to offroad over by the wendy's on Mcfarland!!! I've actually got a picture of my explorer on that same rock!!!
Here's one off of shiloh road that I lived on.
