Hi , I got a 1999 Mountaineer and went to install the rearview camera ( cheap) that seems east to install but to sure if the problem is the camera ...
Install the camera and ran the video line to the head unit and + /- to the left rear backup light.....i know that was correct.....
Took off the kick panel and got the black / pink wire ( reverse wire from radio) and tested that was the right one....after cutting the wire i put it in reverse and no lights and after tapping in the backup lights came on again....
But the radio still has no video signal and the letters on the screen got larger that say NO Video Signal !
I just don't was to fry anything!
