Check Engine light...need help

Well I just got a check engine light now. It came on at 43,555 miles. Does anyone know how to figure out the code on a 2001 Explorer Sport. And does anyone have a list of codes.

I also wonder if this is a timed light, you know the ones Ford pre-programs to go off.

I don't believe there are any timed lights on the X. Only if you own something silly like an ISUZU. J/k.

You have to hook up a scanner to find out what code is in the computer. Get it checked out sooner rather than later.

Bring it to Autozone if you have one near you. They read the codes for free! Then search for the code on this site and I'm sure you'll find all the answers/fixes for it.
