Hello everyone from the Okie State. Our Ford Explorer upon starting beeps in increments of 5 continuing to a total of 4 times. Travel approximately 55 miles power seems to cut out and will die. After cooling down the vehicle will run fine again. Has new spark splugs, new fuel filter. Cannot figure out what is wrong.

Hi
I suggest going to Autozone to have the computer scanned for trouble codes.
The codes will be displayed as a letter and 4 digits. Ignore the code "descriptions"

Write the codes down and report back.

I believe the chime is a check gage warning. Do you see the check gage light?

Speaking of lights, do you see the check engine light when you turn on the key? Does it tun off once the engine is running?

You have 2 issues going on. The chime is most likely the air bag warning light, it's burnt out. Your stall or loss of power is a 2nd issue. Could be the fuel pump, could be ignition related too.
