I've raised a few eyebrows since I began modding my X. I think I catch them offguard when I blow past vehicles off the line that have always been able to blow past a "sluggish" SUV like an X. It's good fun.

I can't remember how much they charge, but it's on their website if I recall (at least the dual program chips were, not sure about the flashers). No discounts offered. They had a group buy a long time ago on them, but nothing for quite a while. They do take Paypal which was real handy for me (I don't hate Paypal like so many people seem to).
I have a KKM air filter but stock exhaust(at present). Would I see any gain at all if I installed an Apten chip with just this setup? I am really looking for quicker and stronger take-offs.

Ok, I notice on the Apten website about 5 different types of chips. Which one would be the most beneficial to me? I have a KKM and factory exhaust and MAF. I may upgrade to a flowmaster exhaust in the near future, so this may need to come into play. Also, the ones that say that can be "switched", is there actually a switch to go between the different octanes?
There is no one perfect solution for every user. Talk to Apten and see what they recommend. They pretty much have standard programs for 87 and 91 and that covers basic mods such as catback, intake etc. That's what I got and what they recommended. If you have more creative mods planned, then it's best to wait until you have them installed before you get the chip. They list what you can and cannot mod without a re-burn on their site.
Yes, a little switch with a few feet of cord comes with the dual-program and plugs into the chip. Most people thread their switch into the cab and store in the glove box or on the dash somewhere. I've been lazy and haven't run the cord inside yet. It involves a little work and some help from someone else to assist. Not rocket science.
I am approaching a red light with three lanes. I see two Civics with 2 liter coke bottle exhaust pipes and huge primer gray wings.
I creep up next to them as to not attract attention.
Sure enough the light turns green and they both mash it racing each other.
I wish I could have seen their faces when this 4,000 lb. 4X4 SUV came from out of no where to blow them both away.
