hello i have a 04 explorer sport trac, and the back light on the heater control went out and we dont have an owners manual and cant find the fuse or rely that controls it wondering if anyone can give me information on what fuse number it is or rely or if its just a light bulb out

unless the climate control doesn't work or the backlighting for the whole truck doesn't work, I wouldn't worry about fuses/relays yet.

there is a link to the owners manuals in the FAQ sticky, that will show locations of relays and fuses.

Probably bulbs.

Owners manual link.

Not yet but I'm working on it. If I take something apart I photograph it. People would rather see a picture than read my posts I'm sure!

Not likely but you may only notice it after they are both out. Does the ash tray light work? All of these run through the headlamp switch.

the glove box light is out and the ash tray light so is it a rely or is it the switch itself? the headlights work along with everything else just no ash tray light no glove box light and no climate control backlight

I'll look again but if I remember what I saw this morning ( it WAS early ) the circuit in the switch itself is defective.
