seriously?? am i the only one that has experienced this???

Never heard of that just happening without being in a wreck or anything. Looks like your cutting rivets...

hey you mine as well do the F-250 shock mount at the same time...

Mine never broke but I replaced my driver side one because it was rusting out really bad. My dad owns a body shop and he says hes seen a number of early explorers with rust problems on the drivers side only, never the passenger. I'm going to guess yours was the passenger side too. SAS would be sweet. Oh the part was <$40 and you just grind out the rivets and replace with bolts. Oh the brake line runs through there too.

yup drivers side

what is sas? lol, forgivve my stupidity

Imguessing here but I figured they meant Straight Axle Swap

To me it would be LAC or Live Axle Conversion

I guess it depends on what part of the country and which 4x4 shops you frequent...

I bent my DRVR side one up a couple weeks ago. What were you doing when it snapped? I was having a little too much high speed fun in the dirt and mine went. Keep your eyes open in a couple weeks for pictures of my fix. You'll like it!!

HEHE!! I can't wait....
