Will coil spring spacers work to lift both the front end and rear end of a 3rd gen explorer?

They can...

Will coil spring spacers work to lift both the front end and rear end of a 3rd gen explorer?

A very inexpensive way to help out the vehicle... What's your reason for wanting to use spacers? You want to add larger tires or just lift it up a bit?

Yeah I'm looking to make room for 30 inch tires and was hoping that this would be a simple and inexpensive solution.

Rims?

If you end up changing rims too, you might need a little more than what the spacers can offer. What's your current set up? Tire size and rims, stock?

Do you have a budget for this project? Maybe you can do a little more than that, or is 30" your goal?

dude u can fit a 30 easily... 255/70/16 is 30 inches... max tire size for 3rd gens is a 265/75/16 which is 31.6 inches (32)... those will fit stock with no rubbing or minor rubbing

hello all, i own a 2004 Explorer XLT. I am having difficulty finding coil spring spacers to give it a few extra inches of lift and bigger tires. Are they available for my make and model? I am having trouble finding ones that would work for me

I am currently the only one that makes them.
Feel free to take a look at the thread in my signature.

A thread dug up from the past
Scotty

so u are the only one that makes them? what kind of automotive or metal shop business do u run and how many have you sold? I am very interested in purchasing but i want to ensure they would be compatible with my vehicle. It is a 2004 explorer XLT 4 door. Would this vehicle be teh same size and shape coils as your xls?

I am just a guy selling these out of my garage, I've sold about 10 sets, and they are made for your explorer.

Here is an example of an Explorer with my lift installed.
It's STNGADC from the board.

nice! i am just curious how you fabricate them out of your garage. I live in Victoria B.C.. How much would shipping be to get them here, and how have you made the transaction possible, do you have your own site or use some sort of online pay pal sort of thing? thanks!

I go through paypal, same as ebay.
If you'd like to PM me your Postal code I'd be happy to get you a shipping quote.
As far as how I fabricate them, I have a machine shop make my plates for me, then install the structural tubing and weld, grind, and paint them, unless you want them powder coated, and in that case, i have a guy ;)

Has anyone posted a pic of their Ex with the spacers installed but with stock tires? I am going to have to wait a little while on the bigger tires and I am curious how it will look. I have 245/70/16s right now. It kinda sucks because I just bought them less than a year ago. I am only doing 2" on the front to level it so it should not look to awkward without new tires.

Not that I know of, I havn't seen pics of anything with smaller tires on them yet.

I guess I will find out soon enough. I will post some pics once I get mine put on. If it makes them look too small I will probably swap them out sooner rather than later.

Yup, you should know soon enough, Your spacers are all ready to be coated.
I'll have them shipping within a couple days.

I am pretty stoked to get them on and see how it looks. Just leveling it up will probably make a big difference in its looks.

I am going to try and do it myself.

I think you only quoted painting them for me in what I paid you, not powder coating.
