That is soo rad.

Holy crapola! That thing is MEAN!!!!!!!!! Where can I buy one? Coilovers front and rear??????????????????????????/

That guy must do his own work with the welder, you can always tell the dude's that do their own work...they build monsters and thats probably not his only project or first one..........

Dude that thing kicks major butt..........

I didn' tget a chance to talk to the owner (his brother was driving it) but from looking at it he knows what he is dooing. The only thing I didn't like about it is that he has to run the adjusters on coils cranked all the way in order to drive it on the street. But from the looks of it, it should flex pretty well offroad.

Where's the winch?

I didn't see a winch attached to this pickup. Is the thing only for looks then?

well, it looks more like a prerunner/ mud truck... prerunners normally dont have winches.... and, you can go hardcore wheeling without your own winch, as long as someone in the group has one.....

yeah i dont have a winch and i wheel all the time... i mean all the time...

Ken, does that mean yours is only for looks, too? ;)

Yep, mine's a pretty truck!

WIth a truck modified to that magnitude, a winch is mandatory. That truck is of the callaber to run Top Truck Challenge, The Ultimate Adventure, or any other extreme challenge. And to not have a winch makes me wonder how the guy makes it through snow runs and other extreme runs in the Colorado area...

...As for mine, yep, it's a pretty boy truck!:D

But, if I had the tech know-how and the straight axle, you know I'd have a nice, new Warn up front!

im trying to think of how many prerunners ive seen with a winch.. not without.. thats not the style of truck that goes to top truck challenge... thats the kind that races in the sand dunes more like it...

100% Rockcrawler

Nope,

I would definitely call this truck a 100% rockcrawler. One that's ready to compete at a rock quarry near you!

Ranger X - wouldn't you agree???

The thing is 100% built for the rocks. You are correct that there is no winch on it, but it has a plate built into the front bumper to hold one (it just isn't there). I don't think is sees much off-road action anymore, it has been downgraded to street duty (thats why the coilovers are cranked so high). They laid it on its side (passenger) on Rusty Nail in Moab last year at EJS and haven't wheeled it since. It breaks my heart every time I see it, I just wish I could afford to buy it from them (if they would sell it).

seems like its really useless to keep for street driving

Why sell?

WIth the hours of work put into this rig along with the price for the parts, I'm sure it's more cost-effective to just keep it, and tool around in town with it, than it is to sell it. What would the guy get for this pickup? $3,400? I'm sure the seller couldn't justify getting rid of this truck for a measly 3 grand. And, what would he buy for 3 grand? A used Grand Am? Ha!;)

If this baby were mine...

I'd sure keep 'wheeling it. I'd crank those coils down, bolt on a winch, and I'd be the king of Truckhaven! ...Am I dreaming???
