93 Explorer 286,000.....
Good Wednesday morning folks from the Volunteer State! I'm attempting to find a replacement cold air tube from the MAF to the TB (93 XLT 4.0) and I can't find one without holes in it like mine. This is a total restoration project and would really like to find OEM parts. Ford says no way Jose. We don't have em.... So, I have seemingly tried everywhere I can think of to locate one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. :exporange :)

a 4.0 ford ranger tube is the same thing, but like celly said, a junkyard is probably your only option if you want oem

Here in MN you can buy one from ford its $180 Im looking for one also without holes or crackes. Ive been to 4 boneyards all are cracked have holes?

I believe I have at least one good one if you want it, maybe two. Only the two piece type though....

2 piece? ahh did know? can u show me a pic?

2 piece? Can you elaborate please? I don't remember seeing a 2 piece before on a 1st gen.. Thanks in advance, Bobby.

You are talking about the intake pipe that goes from the TB to MAF correct? All of my 91s and one of the 92s have had an intake pipe that can be separated in the middle, whereas the 92 I drive has a one piece pipe. I'll get you a picture tomorrow.

yea im looking for 1 piece.....

Well, if a 2 piece will work where the one piece is I have? Let's talk~

Sorry forgot to stop and grab one. There should be one sitting in my Dad's garage because we cut a 92 up that had a trans worth rebuilding for his EB. I'll stop there tomorrow around 1 and grab it if it is still good.

I couldn't find it.... I gotta load up some of the scrap metal we have made from that explorer, so maybe I will find it when I have some more room in there.
