Ok, I recently bought clear tail lights and clear corners. I want the front to sport some nice blue lighting, so I need 4 3157 bulbs for the turn signals and 2 194 bulbs for the corner of each turn signal(same as in stock Explorer lights). Only problem is...Where the heck can I get quality colored bulbs(colored glass that has the color in the glass, not coated on it)??? I know where I can get em. Autosyndicate.com, but they're freakin $10 a pair!!! I am not gonna pay $10 for a pair of bulbs about the size of my thumb unless I absolutely can't find em anywhere else for cheaper. An example of the type of bubls I'm looking for are those produced by Hiper. Help me out here guys....

colored light bulbs

I have looked for the colored bulbs but I haven't been able to find any cheaper ones. I just bought the clear ones and painted them blue. So far they haven't faded and I have had them for about 3 months.

blue bulbs.. even when painted.. do not fade from my experience.. I bought a set of blue ones for my backup lights a while back.. I used them for a month and then took them out.. too ricey... if you want a cool sort of shiny look.. get some superwhites in your turns insead.. they look blue during the day.. but light up nice N white

The only good looking superwhites are the Polarg's, but they don't make them in 3157's. Anyone know of ny brand that does? I have used APC superwhites and they look like crap compared to Polarg's.

Also, does anyone know of a brand that makes clear bulbs for 3157? The Rayberg's look nice but again, they don't make the correct size.

almost any company makes a clear 3157 that is what we have in stock form, kragen, ford, pepboys, etc

I tried those bulbs already. I got some from Napa and they looked like crap. They were brown looking so I returned those suckers. Do not get those cheap ones, you will be disappointed.

semi off the subject... has anyone tried those hologen back up bulbs that I see advertised in truck performance and a few other mags?

c'mon now punisher, thats a matter of opinion :) I have the APC superwhites in mine and it gives off a kind of golden white look, I think I like em. and flyguy.. I have seen those too.. and thought about it.. I can't see for crap at night when I'm backing up.. people tell me I don't need them.

Yeah me too! I pretty much close my eyes.. switch it in reverse... hit the gas and ignore the screams.

lol! man, I'm not quite that bad.. the only place I can't see is in my driveway really.. otherwise there are street lights or something to see by, I kinda thoughta bout getting some lights put under my bumper.. like.. driving lights, but that looks kinda silly IMO

how do those look? are they the white.. superwhites? I may get some

I'm pickup up batteries for my digicam on the way home from work tonight, i'll have pics up by tonight, latest tomorrow.

PIAA does make some superwhite wedge bulb replacements, but I'm not certain that they would work for that application, since I've never tried it myself. They'd be either poart 19169 or 19170, and they'd be about $12.50 each bulb (I know, high price, but hey, there PIAA's, LOL)

i could really use some of those bright backup lights, i have taillight blackouts, so i really cant see at all!! like you guys, i just floor it in reverse and listen for screams!!

Here are the pics i promised, a little late is better than never. :-)

here is the linkhttp://www.autodynamic.com/optiblue_xenon_superwhite_bulbs_polarg_super_white_bulbs.htm

their actually smaller than the stock type, but the shine just as bright.

ah, ok, well I'll look into that after I get a dash kit.. I'm looking at one now.. what do you think? woodgrain, carbonfiber, plain white, or some sort of marble like texture? the marble I'm not sure is possible.. but I'm still looking into it

by the way.. would you like to add 2 more JL12w0s to those 2 you already have? I'm sellin em for $80 a peice (8 ohm svc) and the amp for $190 (mtx blue thunder 1502)

actually i just bought a pair of 12" xtants, and a 1000X2 xtant amp. For a system that i thought i was done with, i have basiaclly overhauled it all again :)
why you sellin your stuff? i may have someone interested in the amp, whats the specs for the amp?

woodgrain would be my choice with your color car and interior, i would def have to go with carbon fiber in my truck cause of the interior color
