Complaint: Oil dipstick on my 2003 4.0 is dark brown!

So the oil dipstick on my 2003 isn't silver like every other car I've owned, but dark brown! This couldn't be a more idiotic design.

Has anyone else noticed this? Any alternative dipsticks from other years that work?

I think O'reilly has one that's lighter in color, but that's $25.

I just can’t believe what a bad design this is! I can’t read it at night!

Just take a scuff pad to it to polish it, I did that on mine, problem fixed.
