conflicts with lift info that need to be straightened out

One of the many lessons to be learned in life is: never go to Midas.
However, if you do somehow wake up one day (heavy parting the night before?) and find yourself in a Midas: dont listen to whatever Midas says.

Can I get an AMEN!!!!!

AGREED!!!!!!!!!!

I had them install a muffler for me one time and they couldn't get that right.... :thumbdwn: to Midas

LOL ya lesson learned about midas. but i'll most likely still go there for repairsse like i said the ford dealership chargs 100 an hour for labour and then all the other random charges. when i got i power stearing pump/gear box done the dealership quoted me like almost 600$ and i already had all the new parts and i went to midas and got it done for 250 plus tax because they have set rates for everything and it doesnt matter if the repair takes 2 or 10 hours it still cost the same.

so i called home and found out i got a package in the mail and the only thing im expecting where the shackles i ordered so when im home on thursday i'll be under the truck again :) kinda excited about that.

also i was wondering is there a lift kit available for the gen 1 explorer thats bigger then 6"? i figure if the trucks going to be to tall to be practical with a 6" and 35"ish tires i may as well go as big as i can.

and swaintan the reason i was thinking of doing a sas when i dont do much whealing is i was thinking it may be an easier/cheaper to lift the front with an sas and some custum front leafs which i think i can get done for about 1000$ and with an axel from an older ranger from a buddy that got t-boned i could most likely do the whole thing for cheaper then a lift kit... im kinda leaning away from that idea now anyways though

with sas taking the full set up from another ride, gotta make sure the pumpkin is right, i was just talking about this on another thread, we need tru d35, some of the rangers come with d35 and hybrids.

im not sure if there is anything that you can buy susp 6" taller then that, thatll be a customer job, customer rear leaf packs with a flip and prob springs and f150 seats in the fronts

when you say the pumpkin has to match are you saying the gears have to be the same front and back? if so when i get bigger tires i'll need to get them changed anyways right. or do you mean the place the dront drive is going to connect has to be the same as whats there now so it all pieces back together?
got a dumb question but i'll ask anyways. is there anyway possible to some how use a rear axel on the front? there a dime a dozen at junk yards so that would be nice if its possible.

havta ask that one to someone else, not sure there. its not the gears inside that youll be worried about since your changing gears anyway. what your looking or is a tru dana 35 housing
