Suggestions for what? To spread them, I stuck the in a vise in a way that when you tightened it down it spread it open slightly. Do overdo it cause its going to weaken the structure so check and recheck often. So far I've had no problems.
Had to drill the holes out a little bit as well

how did you do that?

Just stick one end in the vise so that the other end is sitting up on the opposite end of your handle. It will be tipped sideways and at and angle when you tighten the vise. Just stick it in the vise and think about how you can do it. Look at it long enough and it"ll be clear as day.

Sounds like you should have went with
the Warriors. :p:

i still dont either but ill give it a try maybe ill figure it out

get the correct ones.

bending the steel will weaken them, even if not much.

I certainly would not trust a vehicle that had shackles that were rigged to work.

Yea sorry those instructions were hard to follow. Its hard to put into words how to rig stuff. And i agree its not the greatest idea but I had them already and wasn't going to buy another set for a beater truck. In the end they are still parallel after being bolted down so we"ll see what happens. If I had to buy them again I would go with the Warrior shackles.

i agree im going to try and fit thme without bending them its only off slightly i might be able to force them.for now i got the ghetto autozone ones. they seem pretty strong. complaints yet.anyone run them?

you could also grind a hair off the sleeve in the bushing to fit the shackle. But at that point your modifying your truck to fit a cheap part.
