Could new brake rotors be unbalanced?

A couple weeks ago I put new wagner brake rotors and brake pads on the front. Soon after, my wife complained of a noise. She told me it sounded its like in 4wd. I took it for a spin to see and sure enough there was a noise seem like it was coming from the front wheel. Didn't seem like it would be a bearing. Do you think that Wagners brake rotors came unbalanced? Any idea what could be causing it?

I saw online that many sport trac owners had wheel bearing failures at mileages that mine would be in. I have over 76,000 miles on it and wondering if it could be in an earlier stage of a bearing failure.
 






just a question did you clean the oil off the rotors with brk clean ?? an whats the status of the brk reservoir , many be a simple brk bleeding will fix your problem
 






Very common to get air in the power steering system when servicing brakes and suspension. If you turned the wheels with
the engine off there's a good chance of this being your issue. Drive slow while turning lock to lock until the shaking subsides.
 






Both brake and steering reservoir are full. My co-worker did the work, so I would need to ask if he cleaned the rotors of brake cleaner, but they seem to be wearing evenly. swshawaii, I didn't do your procedure yet. Either air in the steering system or unclean brake rotors I don't understand why it would be causing a noise that changes tones with the revolution of the wheel.
 






Air in the power steering system usually causes steering wheel shudder. If you're experiencing rotational noise it's something else.
 






I jack up the vehicle to see what I can learn. No play in the wheel. When I turned the wheel, I noticed my 4wd shaft turned all the way to the transfer case. Is that normal? If so, automakers have one spot they can work on to increase there CAFE standard. Besides that, I noticed that my brake pads were rubbing lightly against the rotors at a certain spot when rotating the wheel. Is that normal or could this be an unbalanced rotor?
 






I think the only way to check rotor (is it referenced as rotor runout? Anyone) is with, I think it's called a dial. I could be wrong on this and terms used. If that is what's needed to verify, if you take to a shop to check and they have the tool to check while the wheel is on that would be easiest or I guess you would have to take it off and check with the other tool or dial.

Have you checked the calipers? I didn't see it mentioned. Could it be a stuck slide pin or piston. Were the pins lubed and when the new pads put in how was compressing the piston? Maybe there is slight drag. I installed drag clips on my brakes, since I spent a good chunk of $, figured anything to help extend life. Only a few bucks.

Just trying to throw out some ideas - if any of this in Mis information, someone please correct
