I just want to add something here
the bosch plat 4 plugs hmm they are ok out of the box at max, over time if you drive alot they will actualy be worse then a regular plug and you can't gap these. I would actualy suggest a autolite double plat, or the iridium (or how ever you spell it) with a projected tip and OEM style they will actualy work better with the ford multispark system IMO any way they should.
They will give you a cleaner hotter and probaily about the same amount of spark
I agree because I had an experience just as you described. I put those +4's in my Honda Ody and the gas mileage went straight to hell. I replaced them with the OEM laser-type plug(NGK?), which cost more ($9-10 each), and the mileage returned to normal. How they work in a Ford, I don't know but I now stick with the OEM plugs, Motorcraft or Autolite.
Note: straight to hell = 150+ miles and a full tank of gas was gone, normal = 250+ miles.
