Could we make a mod list for the 5.0?

Any of you have dyno data for these mods? If so, please post them.

Having too much fun burning rubber to waste time on a dyno--:D

seriously-I plan on going the street tuning route--dyno shmyno

I go by the seat of my pants, and the speed my truck reaches from one end of the bridge to the other. I can tell you the stock truck went 47mph, and now she does 62, 58 with a passenger--

But you will just have to take my word on that--and the fact my throttle only opens 61 percent

Jon,

Do you have a video of the speedometer, weight & height of said passenger, and a radar reading form the police with a freshly calibrated radar gun to back up your claim? :D :p:

Yeah we need to know exactly how fat the passenger was, as in cottage cheese thighs, chicken neck, grandma arms, or cankles? This is sensitive information you know.

Hmm! I guess this is a default response!

Why do you pull this out your a$$ every time someone says they noticed a gain in mileage from a mod they did.

Funny you should mention that I was going to as well!!! As I mentioned before the only thing the dyno will do is spit out #s... You can do tuning or get real world results from other means. Uhhh. Let me see, do a mod then (like the old fashioned way) check your gas mileage over a few tanks of fuel and then see what the average fuel economy is. Then you will know whether or not the particular mod you did will increase fuel economy. What a concept! HMM, and you don't have to go to a dyno to do this. +1, I agree with Mr. Whitaker.

Al, if you did not state "Do you have dyno results" every time someone post about a mod the did I wouldn't say anything. If everyone had endless amounts of cash just lying around to run to the dyno every time that would be nice.

I'm paying bills off so I can have money to do some mods to mine. I damn sure won't waste money on getting a dyno just to make you happy. I'll spend the money I save on more mods.

And as you can see I'm not the only one tired of your "Do you have dyno results"

If you can just learn to accept someones word for what they do I will live you alone. :)

Personally, I would like to hit a dyno ONCE. Given the fact their is no 4WD/AWD facility anywhere near me, that probably won't happen again. I certainly wouldn't waste my money to see before/after results each time I changed something. Al is pretty **** and a stickler for the details. That's just him. Nothing wrong with that I guess.

I'm just curious why all the interest in the 5.0. It's a dog for mileage. :D

If you want to hit the dyno, remove your front driveshaft.

I don't want to hit a dyno that bad. If if it ever happens, it will be in a 4WD dyno so the odds of that happening are slim.

I had a really long paragraph typed out about this dyno stuff but I decided to erase it and keep my mouth shut.

Removing the front drive shaft takes all of about 15 minutes...

15 minutes would be 15 hours for me. I'm a terrible mechanic. My point from the start is that a dyno tune is a VERY low priority item for me. I may get one done out of curiosity some day, but My Ex runs superb as it is with the SCT tune that Doug @ Bama sent my way.

do you actualy get the same amount of power as you would if you were on a awd dyno?
Pulling the front drive shaft has the rolling on hill things
(my e-brake locks up and stays on when i take it off)

Does not TM have dyno data on thier website? LOL

Chris, I think you are a spambot...... I am gonna need you to prove that you are real by throwing a dyno sheet up. :D

Dyno's save the world. I actually read in the National Enquirer how the use of dyno's ACTUALLY LOWER GREENHOUSE GASSES!!! :bsnicker:

stop global warming. Leave your front door open with the ac on 70. Drive with your windows down (max ac). If was all do this, we can make a difference.

It's kind of irritating, things never end when I have time to bid at the last couple minutes. I refuse to put a bid of my full amount I would pay because I know too many people who cheat that system by having thier friends bid stuff up to get more $ out of people.

I just want to add something here
the bosch plat 4 plugs hmm they are ok out of the box at max, over time if you drive alot they will actualy be worse then a regular plug and you can't gap these. I would actualy suggest a autolite double plat, or the iridium (or how ever you spell it) with a projected tip and OEM style they will actualy work better with the ford multispark system IMO any way they should.
They will give you a cleaner hotter and probaily about the same amount of spark
