Crankcase ventilation system disconnected?

DID YOU EVER FIX THIS???????
I'm having the same issue in my 2016 Ford Explorer Sport ecoboost also. We have changed everything the mechanic can think of and still light comes on and surges at certain speeds. Did you have any luck on correction?

Welcome to the Forum.
The 2016 Explorer was known for throttle body issues. Has that been checked, cleaned or replaced in the "changed everything" procedure?

Okay, so now I really need your help. Both PCV valves have been replaced (one by me, one by dealership) and it's STILL throwing the same code. Wth. Any ideas, team? I'm still baffled that they didn't look at the check engine light still on when it left. I asked and he said 'Oh, we only do the work that you ask us to do.' I get that, but a Ford vehicle is leaving your Ford dealership with the Check Engine light on, bruh. . .might want to check that or at least mention it to me before I Uber up there to pick it up.
Are you still following your thread? If so, what is the current status of the issue you posted about?

So I replaced the PCV Valve and just replaced the hose (not the elbow one that connects to the pcv in the back, the one in front with a sensor) hopefully this fixes it, only time will tell. I did read somewhete that afterwards it takes about 100 miles for the sensor to "recalibrate" itself before the code goes away. Fingers crossed

Did you try clearing the code with a scan tool, and then it came back?

I cleared the code with a scan tool, hasnt came back yet after 5 cycles and 50 miles so far

Just posting an update. 2nd day so far well over 100 miles. The code has not come back. Will post an update a week from now to see if it does return.

Two PCV Valves. ??? I have a 2018 Explorer Platinum (Eco Boost engine) I installed a Oil Catch Can. There is only one PVC Valve on these engines. Two hoses, but one Valve. The Catch can installed after the PCV valve and before it (the hose) goes back to the intake.

Do you have the part #s?

This was the breather hose that apparently was causing the issue. Its been maybe 4 days so far and the code hasnt returned so far

I also replaced the PCV just in case

What was it about the hose that was causing the issue? Was it kinked or blocked?

On my 2017 Ecoboost the oil dipstick popped out one day by itself and covered the engine with oil. I thought the issue might be the PCV valve so I replaced it. Since then, the dipstick issue hasn't happened again but now I occasionally get an engine light and the code is for the disconnected ventilation system. The valve seems to be working (clicks when I shake it). I'm not sure what else to check on my own before having to begrudgingly taking it to the dealership. My hose seems undamaged and freely passes air. $219 just to troubleshoot the issue is what the dealership charges!

And what's this I hear about our engines having two PCV valves??? I'm assuming that's fake news.

Tony
