I've still got no Driver's side front sidelight, but I've now developed a new problem.

I noticed that the other day, my driver's side rear light was out, so i put in a new bulb and replaced the blown 7.5a fuse.

tonight I noticed that my driver's side indicator had stayed on, I tried to put the hazards on but that just blew the 7.5a fuse for the driver's side rear light again.

any ideas what's causing this? I got stopped by the police tonight and don't wanna get a fine for a blown bulb..

Sounds like a loom issue. Only methodical checking and patience will help you. (or an auto electrician :D)

Could it be the indicator stalk? I'll have to get an autospark as wiring is not my forte.. nor do I have the patience!!! :D:D:D:D:D

Right.. noticed my reg plate lights weren't on, so I changed them too, now my stuck indicator light problem has gone and the back light is on, with no blown fuses.

However, I've noticed that the passenger side (left) rear light is not as bright as the right hand side light.

The front side light is still not on...

I've had another look and can't see any reason why there's no power going to the front right sidelight.

Does anyone have any wiring diagrams for the sidelight circuit??

I also noted what looks like a fusebox down by the airbox, I opened it up but it just has black things in it. Could that be related?

The wiring diagrams in the Haynes book do not seem to be quite correct. There is a relay but it feeds both front side lamps (according to the diagram). I would be very tempted to cut the feed wire and tap a new feed from the working side. As for the rear you may have the stop/tail light the wrong way around on the bright side. See if the brake lights are brighter on one side to the other.

Cheers dude, I'll have a squiz now... I got pulled the other night but at least I've sorted out the back end now so I'll avoid a £60 ticket!!

check the sockets (on the bulbs) they tend to burn out on them which will cause all the problems you are experiancing...
Cheers Mate...

How will I check that? I've swapped the socket with the bulb in from right to left and it worked... could it be the plug?

Right, So I've replaced both reg light bulbs and both rear light bulbs.. everything was ok until this evening, when I turned the car on and for some reason my right indicator started slowly pulsing. So I put the hazards on and it blew the rear light fuse again (Right hand side).

When i indicate right, the rear light also flashes and the clock goes dim then bright and so on..

Could it be a bad flasher unit? also when i do the hazards the rear right light flashes....

this is driving me insane...

Cross feeding like this could just be a bad earth connection to the right rear or you have a loom that is slowly melting.

The melting bit doesn't sound good.... I was wondering if it could be water on the elecs causing a short... I'll have to get an auto spark out to have a look, I was wondering if it could be a bad flasher unit... or water in the fuse box....
