Cruise Control

Cruise control will not engage on my 93 Explorer has anyone had the same problem? need help.

i am having the same issue aswell. i cannot not figure out what to do.

There's a few things that could cause the cruise control to fail, the first thing to check is the fuse, if that's good some other poteinal electrical issues would be the brake switch on the pedal and the neutral safety switch/clutch triple function switch. Also check the vacuum lines going to the cruise control actuator under the hood and make sure the cable going to the TB is in good condition.

Unfortunately I'm not certain of the fuse number. My Haynes manual skillfully neglects and schematic of the fuse panel and PDC and my rig didn't have an owners manual with it. I'll never figure out why Ford didn't just label the fuse panel cover like most every other manufacture does.

Hopefully someone with a manual will chime in here with the fuse number.

It should show every fuse in the haynes manual. Look up fuse box or someting in the index. Its there. At least it is in mine

Hmm, I've yet to find it in mine. Of course I normally use the wiring diagrams from mitchell on demand at school, but I'm out of classes till Monday so that doesn't help now

My Chiltons manual has a diagram of the fuses, but they are not correct. I've got a problem with my cruise control for my 93 also, but really haven't had a chance to start diagnosing it. I really don't drive it very long distances so I haven't worried about it yet, but it's on the list of things to work on this spring and summer.
